Eyüp Kar was born in Rize in 1989. After completing his primary and secondary education there, he studied at Istanbul University, graduating in 2013. During his undergraduate studies, he contributed to projects in statistics. He helped establish the youth boards of the Rize Foundation and Federation of Rize Associations in Istanbul and served as vice-president. In these roles, he led efforts to provide scholarships to students and organise meetings connecting academia and the professional world.

Under a Ministry of National Education YLSY scholarship, he completed language studies abroad and a master’s degree. He continues the doctoral studies he began afterwards, conducting research on hybrid simulation. He has served on committees and chaired sessions at conferences on operations research and simulation. He reviews for the Journal of Simulation and the Winter Simulation Conference and has an advanced command of English.
