Education
PhD — Mechanical, Aerospace and Biomedical Engineering, University of Tennessee, Knoxville
MSc — Mechanical Engineering, University of Alabama
Areas of work: Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM), Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
Born in Bitlis in 1991, Sabrullah Deniz began his university education in Türkiye and graduated in Mechanical Engineering from Sakarya University in 2013. In 2018, he completed a master’s degree on unmanned aerial vehicles at the University of Alabama. His work focused on designing and implementing autonomous systems, particularly improving their effectiveness in complex operational environments. In 2024, he completed his PhD at the University of Tennessee on network and traffic management for unmanned aerial vehicles, developing extensive technical expertise.
He currently works on Urban Air Mobility (UAM) and UTM, applying artificial intelligence, particularly deep learning, to challenges in aviation. He researches the design and optimisation of autonomous air and ground vehicle operations and develops advanced traffic management systems for safer, more efficient and environmentally responsible operation. He also takes an active role in developing regulatory frameworks needed to commercialise these technologies and make them widely accessible. His ultimate aim is to transform transport through technological innovation and shape future mobility solutions.
